How to prepare for your boudoir photography session
That hot yoga class you’ve been meaning to try? It’s time to stop procrastinating. The better you feel, the better you’ll look.
Mark your calendar! Schedule hair, makeup, nail and/or esthetician appointments. Give yourself plenty of time to shop for something that makes you feel confident and beautiful. I recommend creating a secret Pinterest board and sharing it with your photographer.
Get waxed a few days prior to your session to make sure any redness has time to subside. Try on outfits and narrow down your selection, but feel free to bring anything you want to your session! If you’re trying out a new hairstyle or color, give yourself a few days to adjust, and to make any changes if needed.
Moisturize your skin before bedtime. Most important of all: Get a good night’s sleep!
The great part about shooting with me is that you get to have your hair and makeup done at the studio before your session, so you don’t even have to think about getting ready. This time is all about you! Don’t be shy and let your photographer know what kind of music you prefer. If there is a certain lip color that you feel best in, bring it! Most importantly- have fun!
