Imagine walking along a rooftop aisle onto a terrace filled with family and friends or giving your guests the unforgettable memory of dancing the night away under the starry sky. With The Terraces on Sir Tyler, these are attainable visions.
The profoundly modern exterior of this three-story building is highlighted by warm olive stucco and accented with thick slabs of grey stone. While two copper pillars connect the terraces, the expansive windows showcase geometric cutouts within the glass panes to finish off this illustrious design.
At first glance, this venue may appeal to the innovative bride who is looking for something out of the ordinary, but the inside has the traditional ambiance that can cater to any classic wedding style. The grand ballroom is illuminated by an assortment of hanging and wall chandeliers along with several floor-to-ceiling windows framed by gold curtains. The coffered ceilings not only add dimension, but also characterize the old-style interior.
Adriane Joyner, who had her vintage wedding at The Terraces, says “we used lots of tea cups, old mirrors and candles for decoration.” On the other hand, Elizabeth Williams’ eccentric peacock-themed wedding utilized lots of bright colors and fun textures. “I felt confident in knowing that this was the place that my wedding dreams could be transformed,” Williams says. “It was contemporary, but still warm. It was spacious, but still relational.”
Dayma Edwards, Director of Meetings & Events, believes the flexibility of having the activities outside or inside is what emphasizes this venue, in particular.
Although most brides who opt for outdoor weddings have high hopes for good weather, it’s still important to plan accordingly. Edwards recalls one wedding where the possibility of rain became reality.
“She was having her ceremony outside somewhere else, and they actually moved it here. We were able to accommodate and flip the grand ballroom for the reception as well as the ceremony,” Edwards says. “But if she hadn’t had us, it wouldn’t have happened.”
Williams, who opted to have her ceremony inside rather than out on the terrace, had no regrets about the decision. “The entry way made an exquisite welcome with its openness and sophistication. The violins echoing as you entered created the mindset of beauty and loveliness.”
The Terraces on Sir Tyler bids a layout that will make setting up your big day as effortless as possible. “There’s not much that you have to do to this space. “We have high ceilings, awesome windows, that at nighttime, just sparkle,” Edwards says. “You don’t have to try to hide walls, or move things around to make the background look pretty.”
The Terraces provides a beautiful foundation for your event as tables, chairs and linens are available to rent with the space. Sir Tyler even offers water walls for the artsy bride who would like to add another elegant focal point to the scene.
If you’re ready to take the plunge, make it a memory both you and your guests will cherish at The Terraces on Sir Tyler.
